Welcome to The Arts and Crafts Place!
I would like to tell you about our summer camps, our weaving club and our store.
Summer Camps: We run week-long, summer camps for kids ages 8 -16. Fiber arts, ceramics, studio arts, creative writing, bookmaking arts, cooking, sewing and weaving are available. There is something for everyone – kids can relax with something they already enjoy or dive into something new! And, as you can see, we do a lot of tie dye!
At The Arts and Crafts Place summer camps we spend the day creating, learning and having fun. We are throwbacks to when life was all about wholesome and enriching activities. We specialize in kid-friendly, hands-on, age appropriate instruction with ample individual attention.
Boys and girls are welcome and encouraged to attend. No prior experience is necessary for most of our camps. And we can adjust the level of teaching to address all camper’s needs. Our teachers are experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic – and they enjoy teaching kids!
Through arts and crafts, we help kids exercise imagination, express creativity and experience artistry while developing confidence and skills they can use for the rest of their lives. You can find more information about the summer camps by clicking here.
Cricket Club: At the monthly Cricket Club, a club named for the loom we use, kids learn weaving techniques, see project ideas and explore the possibilities of weaving with different materials. We also answer questions, help with problems and just weave together. Beginning and experienced weavers are welcome. You can learn more about the Cricket Club by clicking here.
The Store: The online store features popular projects and techniques from camp. Every product is kid- tested, high quality and the most economical way to help your child (or you) learn new techniques and create at home! You can see the store by clicking here.
